BUKU-LARRŊGAY MULKA CENTRE

Buku-Larrŋgay Mulka Centre is home to some of Australia's leading contemporary painters, sculptures, printmakers and filmmakers.

Buku-Larrŋgay Mulka Centre is also home to the Yirrkala Print Space, Australia's oldest continuously running Indigenous print studio. Run by a dedicated team of experienced Yolngu printmakers, this print studio creates some of the countries most exciting etchings, lino cuts, screen prints, collagraphs, and woodblocks as well as exploring new and experimental printing techniques.

FEATURED EXHIBITION

In November 2022 we were delighted to present the work of the artists at Buku-Larrŋgay Mulka Art Centre in Yirrkala Print Space, a showcase of some of the most dynamic and exciting work being produced at the remote art centre.

The artists of Yirrkala Print Space have established a worldwide reputation for excellence, having won many of Australia’s major Indigenous art prizes.

Exhibited alongside the curation of prints from Yirrkala Print Space were a selection of Ḻarrakitj from the artists of Buku-Larrŋgay Mulka Art Centre.
