Each year I wait to spot the pink Magnolia’s starting to bloom in the streets around my home - it’s the first welcome promise of the Springtime. Walking the streets, small pops of colour emerge against the grey skies, the sweet smell of Jasmine and Cherry Blossoms is in the air. These pieces honour those first flowers as they joyfully sway through the wind. Inspired by a longtime love of Japanese and Finnish textile design, the flora are celebrated in these pieces amidst the abstractions.
