Eighteen Rotations

Two prints from the same negative, developed 18 years apart. This work looks at how time changes a perspective. It can make colours appear different, enhance grain, and saturate. It is the time it takes for a baby to become an adult - how different one’s point of view becomes from birth to age 18 ... from 18 to 36 ... 36 to 54.

The image on the left is the original negative scan, taken in 2006 on Fuji Sensia 200 E6 (Slide Film). The negative gets cross processed, creating that very saturated look. The image on the right is a scan of the same negative, done recently (2024). Neither image has had any digital enhancements, they are just as they were developed & scanned.
