Cover up but still be pretty (II)
'Feminine Resistance' 2023, Wheel-thrown porcelain with Microcrystalline Glaze.
Typically shown as one piece. These two vessels sit alongside each other to explore and challenge innocence and the body's connection to beauty. Over time these, connections become tiring and disgusting to experience, for all people, especially given how women have been raised in our beauty and money-obsessed societies. While these pieces are very typically beautiful, being made from porcelain dressed in a ribbon, the use of the chrome green glaze helps to explore the exhaustion and rotting within the beauty industry.
