Daffodil Dreaming (A Moon in Bloom)

Pippa Bond is an artist-researcher and PhD candidate in the School of Media and Communications at RMIT University. ‘Daffodil Dreaming (A Moon In Bloom)’ was a selected piece from her honours body of work which included photography, creative writing and poetry. The project utilised dreaming, surrealism and adaptation to capture a daydream shifting from a dream into a nightmare. The three works selected for Reality and its Double showcase a blurring of reality, dream and nightmare.

Daffodil Dreaming (A Moon In Bloom)’ was originally accompanied by a reverse image and two poetic written pieces within the original body of work. Separately Daffodil Dreaming (A Moon In Bloom)’ reflects a confluence of daffodils and our moon. Together the works highlight a deeper experience of longing, exploring elements of loneliness and restlessness.

The work has been printed locally on satin warm white 255gsm photo paper and has been framed by local frame makers. The printed work varies slightly from the original digital work.
