"The four lines represent the place called Yalaŋbara. If there are three lines, it represents a place called Guluruŋa, which is close to Yalaŋbara.

Yalaŋbara is my wäŋa. It is a very important place for my family and my clan, the Rirratjiŋu clan. It is a sacred area. We camp there sometimes. It used to be a women's area and still is. The top of the sand dunes is the very sacred place. It is not allowed to go on top of the sand dunes. We don't camp too close to the sand dunes so kids don't accidentally climb up. There are sacred water holes on top. The Goanna lives in those holes. There is a song about the Djaŋ'kawu ladies. That song goes all the way to Burralku where they came from.

If the four lines go as a hole, around, thats the fresh water holes, thats where the Djaŋ'kawu used to dig. My old people grew up with that water. My old people used to live there. We go there to camp now sometimes. And to clean up, lots of rubbish gets washed up on the beach.

Ŋapandala is a different name for Yalaŋbara. That's my daughters name."
