along the bush track
EDWINA EDWARDS
4–21 December

Edwina Edwards’ Along the Bush Track invites viewers to share a quiet walk through the Australian bush. In this exhibition, the land informs the artist’s palette through the shifting colours and light of the landscape, from the soft glow of morning to the fading hues of evening. Her work reflects moments of stillness and close observation, capturing the bloom of wildflowers, the gentle rise of distant hills, and the winding path ahead.

Through her paintings, Edwards expresses a deep reverence for her surroundings in all their changing seasons, reminding us to appreciate the beauty of simply being present in our unique landscape, where each step deepens our connection to place and to nature.

Along the Bush Track by Edwina Edwards is presented by BSG Projects.

Please join us for a drink to celebrate the opening of Along the Bush Track on Friday 5 December (6–8PM).

Just as we shape the natural environment, so does the natural environment shape us. For Albury-based painter Edwina Edwards, it is this restless transition between growth and decay, damage and repair, that manifests in her immersive visions of an Australian landscape teeming with colour, texture, and the maternal rhythm of life.

Relocating to regional New South Wales in 2014 for a ‘tree change’, Edwina Edwards found inspiration in the vibrancy and vitality of the local bushland. Describing her work as “an amalgam of sketches, images and memories”, Edwards panoramic paintings portray an ancient landscape moving through time, tracing the shifts between compounding seasons through layers of colour that emerge and recede, revealing new details with every glance.

Edwina Edwards is an Australian contemporary landscape painter based in Albury, New South Wales. Since completing an Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts in 2016, Edwards work has been displayed in several significant solo and group exhibitions across Australia. She is currently represented by Brunswick Street Gallery.
