We are now seeking applications for Emerge: O UT, our 13th Emerge exhibition, held as part of Midsumma Festival.

We are accepting applications for LGBTQIA+ identifying artists group exhibitions for exhibitions held between 27 January – 11 February 2024.

Established in 2018, the Emerge exhibition series is an opportunity for artists working in all mediums to showcase their new work without the pressure of a solo exhibition, and amongst fellow emerging and established artists.

In our O UT rendition, we seek to amplify the voices of LGBTQIA+ artists working in the emerging space.Without a particular theme or brief which artwork needs to conform to, Emerge: O UT will be a snapshot of the artist’s current practice, or allows the opportunity to present new and experimental works–perhaps deviating from their usual offerings.

As per our Emerge exhibition structure, artists will be applying for an exhibited in a 2-3m or 5-6m space.

Exhibition dates: 27 January–11 February 2024
Opening Event: Saturday 27 January 6–8PM

Exhibition prompts:
