'Sa Ugoy Ng Duyan (In The Rocking of The Cradle) (hanging)', 2025, capiz, pearls, timber (130cm x 180cm x 97cm)

Drawing from childhood memories in the Philippines, Gatip uses objects and sculpture to preserve and sustain his cultural heritage—not just for himself but for others with similar migration stories. Through this process, he reconciles an identity divided between two cultures, creating a bridge between past and present.
