Divide
Emma Tindale
3–20 October

Divide reflects the artist’s desire to balance multiple artistic identities. The series features paintings that incorporate figurative portraits, abstract blocks of colour and floral still lifes in the one image.  Combined through carefully placed divisions on the canvas, these works reveal the artist’s aspiration of wanting to be an abstract painter, a still life artist, and a figurative creator all at once.

Please join us for a drink to celebrate the opening of Divide on Friday 4 October (6–8PM)

Emma Tindale is a self taught, figurative artist based in Sydney, Australia. She is interested in depicting the human form through pose and movement.  Her paintings examine the spectrum of human emotion and natural movement that we all recognise and execute. She paints subjects that offer a notion of familiarity, allowing viewers to recognise common and simple features, expressions or gestures.
