From My Mind’s Eye
Jules Bulleid
26 march–12 april 2026
From My Mind’s Eye explores landscape as an internal terrain, shaped by memory, intuition, and sensation. Through an intuitive painting process, Jules Bulleid moves beyond literal depiction, creating distilled impressions of place that are atmospheric and emotive.
Working without a predetermined plan, Bulleid allows each painting to unfold through gesture, colour, and instinct. The resulting works sit between abstraction and landscape—grounded in the visual language of the country yet untethered from any singular geography.
Colour is central to this body of work. Saturated blues, garnets, and earthen reds evoke heat, distance, and stillness. Rather than describing specific sites, these jewel-toned palettes function as emotional registers, capturing both the intensity and quiet vastness of the Australian landscape.
Jules Bulleid is a Western Australian contemporary painter exploring landscape as memory. Her intuitive, layered abstractions evoke atmosphere, luminosity and terrain.
Held in private collections in Australia and internationally.
Join us on Friday 27 March between 6–8PM to celebrate the opening of From My Mind's Eye.
