Anthea Vayonitis’ intuitive process is inspired by lyrical abstraction and the metaphysical energies found in nature. Meditation, music, dance, and nature actively channel pathways for her automatic ‘flow state’ art practice.

Gaia's Golden Aura, is a body of work which channels nature and her connection to it, as she walks through a blissful meditative state in nature, Anthea is in awe of its beauty the ever-changing colours and formations between seasons. Lyrical abstraction is explored through sensation and colour. The chromatic pockets of time and space between these spaces act as alternate realities. Each mark informs another, and the destination finds itself in the process of the painting. Light and its refraction are explored between the materiality of paint and brushstrokes.
