In Flux of Mind

In Flux of Mind is a personal constellation of paintings exploring the artist’s relationship to her external natural world, particularly in her experiences of the Birrarung in Warrandyte. 

Found picture frames where narratives are rewritten upon surfaces of the disposed. Exposed linen borders suggest the beyond of what is remembered. Bold colours cradle the image and curl the sides of canvas. 

The collection invites the viewer to lean into the visual possibilities of warped memory. Doing so may reveal more about the self than any photograph or written document of place and feeling.
