Animula presents Ruby Archer’s paintings, developed through sustained photographic observation. The series examines how an image emerges from the everyday, only to endure the abrasion of repeated documentation and translation. Through this friction, the subject accumulates a ‘soul’, born not from sentiment, but from scrutiny and transformation.
