Some place better than this is an ongoing series sharing stories and moments from a sentimental human with big feelings, searching for what feels like home. Annelise Forster explores curiosity in the everyday, delving into the complexity of human experience, capturing moments that, while mundane on the surface, hold deeper significance. As the first edition of an ongoing project, it will serve as a visual diary, a collection of chapters from my life where each piece is a narrative thread in a larger tapestry.

Presented in a non-chronological order, this first edition in the series addresses up routing their life and moving to the other side of the world on their own—a journey of self-discovery, adaptation, and finding new places and people to call home.
