Soul
Bronni Krieger
22 August–9 September
Bronni Krieger's latest works aim to touch on a deeper level, a level beyond the physical. Her fascination with the relationship between humans and animals is evident. Krieger’s animals act as a conduit for the truth and wisdom we encounter through the journey of life. Her ongoing expressions of concern for the protection of animals are predominant through this latest exhibition.
Bronni Krieger is an artist located in Naarm (Melbourne). Her works predominantly involve animal and human subjects together in a style of surrealism that evokes a sense of vulnerability and emotion.
Whilst paying tribute to Australia’s native flora and fauna, her work often raises questions about the relationship between these species and humankind itself. Her use of symbolism and the depiction of the animal-human bond, highlight topical issues including deforestation, natural disasters and the ongoing climate crisis. Bronni’s passion is tangible as she uses her work to provide a voice to those without one and as a platform to document our native wildlife at risk of becoming extinct.
