Stef Harris is an emerging abstract artist practicing from her studio in Naarm (Melbourne). Working primarily in painting, Stef’s artworks are an invitation to the viewer for moments of reflection and introspection.

Created with a meditative approach, her intuitive works are inspired by experiences and impressions from her own life transmuted through an abstract lens. Stef enjoys experimenting with different mediums and techniques and often works on raw canvas, linen, or silk. She imbues her surfaces with colour and light through many layers of washes, pigments and stains creating movement, depth and emotion.

After completing a bachelor degree in Visual Art, Stef has continued to grow and expand her artistic skill set and experience by attending workshops and intensives in Melbourne and Sydney and exhibiting in group shows across Melbourne. Her works are held in private and corporate collections in Australia and internationally.

Two years in the making, her first solo exhibition Luminescence seeks to capture and convey the visceral and ephemeral experience of being immersed in the ocean.
