Untitled (Becoming)
Toni Vallance
24 January–8 February
In her second solo exhibition with Brunswick Street Gallery, Toni Vallance explores abstract painting as a meeting point between body and material. Gesture, colour, texture, and edges converge to shape meaning, revealing both human and material agency. Layered marks, unruly surfaces, and shifting edges emphasise instability, embodiment, and transformation, positioning painting as a visceral space for sensation beyond language.
Born in Aotearoa (New Zealand) and now based in Naarm (Melbourne), Vallance recently completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at RMIT University, where she received the Chapman and Bailey Award for Excellence in Contemporary Painting.
Join us on Saturday 24 January from 6–8 PM to celebrate the opening of Untitled (Becoming).
