Vaughan Prain’s art engages with contemporary urban experiences, drawing on the themes and stylistic methods of German Expressionists such as Kirchner and Beckmann. Themes include people interacting in recognisable settings and the expression of spontaneity through dance. The depicted moments form part of broader narratives, inviting viewers to speculate about the stories unfolding within them.
