We See Eye to Eye
Ponce A Delph
27 March–13 April
We See Eye to Eye, is a series of paintings by Ponce A Delph, that come together like a nuanced culture war. This series derives from serendipitous glimpses of the world at large. Ponce uses them to peel back and interpret the many layers of humanity and society at large.
Ponce a Delph’s We See Eye to Eye series, touches on serious themes but never in a serious way. He incorporates oddly familiar imagery that infers symbolic meanings. Each element is carefully arranged and combined to conjure a story of our times. The tumultuous backdrops and indifferent figures haphazardly interact with one another, evoking a sense of foreboding and curiosity. Each composition is a symbolic ode to our times and the great western idiom. Ponce A Delph believes each piece offers an array of impressions based on one’s own point of view, but he also thinks they mirror a shared experience. As such, each painting is an invitation to relish in the collective consciousness.
