Wild at heart
elizabeth wade
3–20 October

We are all wild at heart. Like lizards
warmed by the sun or cicadas cracking out of their subterranean shell, we shed our skin when we create.

– Elizabeth Wade

Elizabeth paints intuitively and
passionately in lively palettes, with free, organic strokes of the brush and knife. The colours, texture, smell and movement of her paintings allow her to tap into the life source that we share with each other–with animals, plants, rocks and the innerness of earth. What’s in the sky or under the leaf litter, or beneath our clothes and skin, is alive with untamed energy. Elizabeth paints this wild hearted rhythm and poetry.

Elizabeth Wade is a Melbourne/Naarm based
artist interested in surfaces and what lies beneath them. Elizabeth is
associated with the Melbourne Studio School and the Box Hill Creative Arts
program, as well as having exhibited paintings in group exhibitions at BSG. Wild
at Heart
is her debut solo exhibition.

Please join us for a drink to celebrate the opening of Wild at Heart on Friday 4 October (6–8PM)
