These works were created during a week-long intensive Art Camp in Thule NSW.

"This capsule collection of works 'At The Lagoon' were painted in part en plein air, before returning to the studio to further refine and interpret the landscape through sketches and photos. The act of working on the shores of the Lagoon imparts an immediacy to the works. As is true to my working methods, the paintings are created through a process of building up layers capturing the textures, the colours and wild growth of my immediate surroundings. These works are my documentation of 'unnoticed' details; the cracked earth on the lagoon’s shores, the ‘weeds’ pushing through as new life emerges, and the dense layering of fallen gum leaves along the lagoon’s edge."
