St. Mary's 12786-23

St. Mary's hostel behind Old Timers Town Camp where Elizabeth Douglas grew up and lives today. This painting is a memory from her childhood, when her and the other children at Old Timers would play with the children at St. Mary's in the creek. She remembers sometimes, along with fellow painter Josie Mulda, as children they would climb up the hill to tease the kids at St. Mary's and they would both catch the same bus back together from Traeger Park. Elizabeth remembers there were white, black and 'half-caste' children living at St. Mary's.
