This is a show about fragments, details, jottings and vistas. It is a diary about time spent in the mountains of Shigaraki, one of Japan’s ancient pottery towns. Marching powerlines, hillsides of swaying Japanese silver grass, wrapped and strapped tree trunks, the studiowork bench – these works, recorded in clay, are Janetta Kerr-Grant’s notes and also her memories.
