"Det stokmenmob bin mustering ebriweya ja., gajimbat buligi. Im drai sisin, barn gras im ja la top en la botom, en det fresh gras grouimbat la midil.

The stockmen have been mustering everywhere, catching cattle. It's dry season and the burnt grass is at the top and bottom. The fresh grass is growing in the middle."

Jill Daniels is an artist based in Ngukurr, South East Arnhem Land, known for her vibrant depictions of life in the remote community.

Her paintings tell stories of cowboys and cowgirls travelling across vast, colourful landscapes; the people they meet, the animals they see, and the twinkling stars they sleep beneath.
