Immediately after the first two things, Dunmoochin

Joshua de Gruchy (b. 1999) is an early-career artist from Western Australia represented in Victoria by Brunswick Street Gallery.

Choosing an alternative to formal fine arts education, he travelled east in search of a new place to develop his painting practice. This decision led him unexpectedly to far western New South Wales, where he spent three years working in the landscape surrounding Broken Hill, Wilcannia and Menindee.

de Gruchy now lives on Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung country, (Cottles Bridge, Victoria).

This artwork is included in the group exhibition The Quiet Hours, on display from 26 March–12 April 2026
