From the exhibition 'Nursery' where a shift in perspectives signifies artist Joshua de Gruchy's move to Castlemaine, Victoria after three years working in the landscape surrounding Broken Hill, Wilcannia and Menindee.

Exploring the role that travel and place plays in the evolution of his work, here the landscape seeps into his paintings indirectly, with developments in colour palette and style evident. de Gruchy's focus turns to the relationship between line, form, space and how to find balance both inside and outside the studio.
