Following a recent journey into the wilds of the Brazilian Amazon, keen birdwatcher Mickey Mason found fresh inspiration in the extraordinary flora and fauna of the region. Mason's Flock artworks celebrate the colour, energy and diversity of this remarkable landscape and, of course, the birds.

Rendered in his signature richly textured style, these vividly coloured tropical birds perch against the backdrop of meandering Amazonian waterways and the iconic beaches of Brazil.

It’s quite easy to take birds for granted. A part of everyday life, their dawn chorus welcomes us into the day. They remain ever-present, often unnoticed and unbothered by our presence in their world (until you drop a chip, that is).
