Predominantly hand building her sculptural and functional pieces, Pauline Meade layers glazes, oxides and engobes that reflect upon the landscape of the Pyrenees region of Victoria.

Meade's pieces are textural and her marks gestural, allowing us to see and sense the colours of her childhood, and are reminiscent of the work of the artist John Wolseley, who lives and draws in this same dry sclerophyll bush, and whose work similarly connects him intimately to his environment.
