Looking Out
Amber Nuttall
22 August–8 September
The weather turns and light changes. Looking Out is about experiences with place. Recollections of journeys nearby, the sight of alpine flowers and the glimpse of a river through trees. Grounded in memory, yet the work is an echo of what is seen, often with imagined and amplified aspects.
Please join us for a drink to celebrate the opening of Looking Out on Friday 23 August (6–8PM)

Amber is interested in capturing observations from her immediate environment. Often drawn to the parallel subjects of interior scenes and the natural landscape. Her work evolves from quickly drawn sketches of sights around her, that later become gestural works in oil paint.
She is a multidisciplinary artist and designer from the Ballarat area, now based in Melbourne. She studied Bachelor of Arts in Textile Design at RMIT and her practice has evolved to explore painting, drawing and ceramics.
