Mapping Extinctions
Linda Knight
30 march–16 April 2023
Linda Knight's Mapping Extinctions explores beyond-the-human timescale. Knight speculatively maps wildlife during geologic upheaval, taking as her starting point the devastating 2020 Australian bushfires. Managing to create dis-located drawings that reference botanical illustrations, she is also commenting on the ecological impacts of colonisation, specifically in relation to the devastation caused by bushfires, all the more common due to improper land management.
Please join us for a drink to celebrate the opening of Mapping Extinctions on Friday 31 March (6–8PM).
