"We go to the Mataranka to see the Rodeo. We are looking at the stockmen riding bulls and roping them up. Two clowns are stopping the bull. And you see the two shiny washing machine drums. They're making the horse go round it. We have a good time."

Jill Daniels is an artist based in Ngukurr, South East Arnhem Land, known for her vibrant depictions of life in the remote community.

Her paintings tell stories of cowboys and cowgirls travelling across vast, colourful landscapes; the people they meet, the animals they see, and the twinkling stars they sleep beneath.
