Kate Galea is an emerging artist producing hard-edged, vibrant, geometric paintings in her Sydney studio. 

Exploring compositional structure through the eccentric arrangement of colour and line she strives to create dynamic and shifting cityscapes to draw the viewer into an alternative world. 

Her work is characterised by a sense of vitality and movement, wherein colour functions not merely as a visual element but as a driving force that animates the composition.

The work doesn’t necessarily have to make sense to the viewer but the option is there if they choose to take it, perhaps shifting each time they see it.
