The remains of an unanswered Echo (maestro)

Spivak’s silvered works explore the liminal space between narcissism and self-loathing. Each piece becomes a surface for reflection — both literally and emotionally — inviting viewers to consider their own relationship with identity, self-image, and perception.

Created through a process echoing 18th-century alchemical techniques, the hand-silvered glass embodies transformation and illusion. For Spivak, the mirror is both subject and medium — a site where the constructed self and perceived self coexist, yet remain inherently unstable. This duality reflects the artist’s own experiences with identity, vulnerability, and the balance between delusion and self-awareness.
